Cheese Spread: Dip, Vegetable, and Pasta Sauce

Use this hot or cold as a dip, sandwich spread, or sauce for vegetables or pasta.

Ingredients:

3/4 cup water or beer

1 egg yolk

1/2 cup canned milk

1 tablespoon corn starch

Cheese

Seasoning options: salt, pepper, paprika, tabasco, taco seasonings, or jalapeños.




Method:

Beat or thoroughly mix the egg yolk, canned milk, corn starch, and added seasoning.

Heat water or beer until near boiling. Add milk mixture, stirring constantly. Cook until mixture thickens.

Reduce heat and add cheese. Continue to stir until cheese melts and blend to mix.
