Bing Cherry Salad Mold

This was Grandma Virginia Lusher's recipe. The walnuts used to gross me out when I was a kid but I like them now. I've always wanted to try it with fresh cherrie to see how it turns out. I'll let you know the results if I ever do.

Ingredients:

2 small boxes black cherry jello

1 cup boiling water

1 cup port wine

1 medium can black bing cherries

chopped english walnuts


Method:

Drain cherries, saving the juice (should yield about 1 cup).

Combine jello, hot water, wine and finally the juice from the cherries. Dissolve.

Add cherries and enough walnuts to satisfy. Refrigerate until set.
