Almond Rocha

Ingredients:

1 pound butter

2 cups sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla

1/2 cup chopped almonds

1/3 package chocolate chips

1/4 cup finely chopped almonds


Method:

Boil butter and sugar to 285 degrees, stirring constantly.

Remove from heat and add vanilla and 1/2 cup nuts. Stir.

Spread on a large buttered pan or tray.

Sprinkle top with chocolate chips. When chips are melted, spread over entire top.

Sprinkle with 1/4 cup finely chopped nuts.

Score into serving sizes while still warm.
