Pork Chops and Sauerkraut

Ingredients:

Serves 6

3 cups sauerkraut, drained and rinsed

4 cups granny smith apples, thinly sliced

2 onions, sliced

3 cups cabbage, sliced

6- 4 ounce lean, boned, center-cut loin pork chops, 1 inch thick

1 turkey kielbasa sausage cut into pieces

2 cups beer or white wine

mashed potatoes


Method:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Arrange sauerkraut in 13 x 9 inch baking dish.

Put apples, onions and cabbage over the 'kraut.

Place pork chops and sausages on top.

Pour beer over everything.

Cover and bake 45 minutes.

Uncover and bake an additional 30 minutes to brown the top and reduce liquid.

Serve with mashed taters.
