Hamburger Soup

Requested by Katie. I make this soup ALL the time with various seasonal vegetables.

Ingredients:

1/2 pound to 3/4 pound ground beef

1/2 package French Onion soup mix

1 can chopped tomatoes or V8 juice or tomato sauce

2 large potatoes, peeled and diced

1- 10 ounce package frozen mixed vegetables

1 teaspoon or more salt

2 teaspoons sugar

I will often times use left-over meat-sauce cabbage, spinach, kale, chard,


Method:

Brown beef and drain. Add 6 cups water, dry onion soup mix, and tomato. Simmer 1/2 hour.

Add potatoes, sugar, and salt.

Cook until potatoes are almost done.

Add frozen veggies and cook until vegetables are done.
